A band to shout about

BLUES/ROCK band Tantrum return to Carlisle tomorrow following their appearance here last year opening the inaugural Carlisle Blues Festival.

Tantrum are one of the most exciting young bands to have exploded onto the British blues scene in recent years.

With an average age of just 20 they have toured extensively around the UK and Europe and will appear at a number of music festivals this summer.

Promoter Chris Denton said he had rebooked the band following their two “stunning” performances at the blues festival and the rugby club.

“They look like a boy band but their appearance belies the fact that they’re actually incredibly good musicians with a growing reputation. If any band are going to make the blues into a commercial success it’ll be Tantrum.”

The band play Carlisle Rugby Club on Warwick Road, Carlisle. Doors open at 9pm. Tickets £5 in advance from the rugby club bar or The Guitar and Amp Shack, Houghton, or £7 on the night.
