A west Cumbrian cinema is to show the much-anticipated new Batman film, The Dark Knight, before any other in the county.

Workington’s Plaza cinema will premier the new movie on Wednesday, July 23 – two days before the film goes on general release.
Not only that, all ticket holders will be given an amazing piece of movie memorabilia, a lenticular ‘holographic’ poster – one of the most sought after Batman collectible – featuring The Joker, Batman and Harvey Dent.

The Dark Knight stars Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader and the late Heath Ledger as The Joker.
In the fhe film, the follow-up to the smash-hit Batman Begins, Batman and James Gordon join forces with Gotham's new District Attorney, Harvey Dent, to take on a psychotic bank robber known as The Joker, whilst other forces plot against them, and The Joker's crimes grow more and more deadly.
