HOW THEY MET: They dated at school before meeting up again in June 2005.

PROPOSAL: Boxing Day, 2005.

VENUE: The Dome Beach Hotel, in Nissi Bay, Cyprus for 30 guests followed by champagne reception on September 14, 2007.

THEME: Champagne and chocolates.

BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A strapless, champagne, taffeta gown with crystal detail by Essense, of Australia; a veil decorated with crystals; and a silver diamante tiara.

GROOMSMEN: Mark Blackwell was best man. The groom’s brother Chris Dunn, Mark Thompson and Lloyd Clements were ushers. They wore ivory trousers, waistcoats and shirts and chocolate-brown cravats. The groom also wore his late grandfather’s cufflinks.

BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s sister Danielle Kirkpatrick was chief bridesmaid. Kerrie Dunn, Emma Kearney and Kayleigh Close were bridesmaids. They wore strapless Forever Yours chocolate-brown dresses from Cumbria Bridal Centre. The bride’s niece Olivia Thompson and groom’s niece Jodie Clark were flowergirls. They wore ivory gowns with chocolate-brown sashes.

FLOWERS: The bride had a hand-tied bouquet of white calla lilies with greenery.

TRANSPORT: A Rolls Royce from A Touch Of Class, Workington, booked as a surprise by the groom’s brother and partner.

RECEPTION: An evening reception for 300 guests at the Marchon Club on their return on September 22, 2007. The buffet was made by Avril Cable, of Whitehaven.

CAKE: A five-tier fruit, chocolate and sponge cake made by Susan Archer, of Wath Brow, Cleator Moor.

FIRST DANCE: Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler.

ENTERTAINMENT: Balloons and decorations from Crown Celebrations, of Whitehaven.

PHOTOGRAPHER: Costa Studios, Cyprus.

VIDEOGRAPHER: Still Productions, Cyprus.
