Exclusive labels at Booths as third wine fair launches

Booths launches its third annual wine fair next week with a host of exclusive labels to try before you buy.

The Wine Fair runs from September 25 to October 18 with up to a third off selected bottles.

The three-wine week event will include an exclusive wine tasting evening at the Keswick Booths store on Thursday 9 October from 7pm- 9pm.

Some 18 wines will be available for wine buffs to sniff, swill and slurp, ranging in price from £4.49 to £15.99.

The supermarket has just been awarded North West England Regional Merchant of the Year at the International Wine Challenge Awards and many of the wines featured in the Fair are exclusive to Booths and not available in any other supermarket.

They include wines such as Tamburlaine Wild Mountain Organic Chardonnay Hunter Valley 2006 (£6.99) and The Green House Organic Pinotage Bon Cap Winery Robertson 2007 (£6.49). Château Lafont Menaut Blanc Pessac-Léognan 2007 (£11.99) and Zéfyro Tinto Vinho Regional Alentejano 2006 £8.99.

The wines have been carefully selected by Booths wine buyer Sally Holloway to suit all budgets with bottles ranging from £4.99 - £15.99.

Tickets for the wine tasting evening are priced at £7.50 and can be obtained in person from the Keswick store. Tickets are limited and are available on a first come first served basis.

Sally said: “We are keen to offer our customers something different with different grape varieties and styles.”

Booths’ standard range of wines is available to purchase online at the retailer’s dedicated wine website www.booths-wine.co.uk. The company is also the pioneer of www.everywine.co.uk, which, as the name suggests, is the virtual retailer for every wine available in the UK.

The wine tasting event will also take place at other Booths stores including: Ulverston, Windermere, Kendal, Carnforth and Kirkby Lonsdale.
