Brett Smith says there is only one rugby league club for him - and that is why he has signed a new one-year deal at Derwent Park.
And he is joined by another forward who is loyal to the Workington cause with James Robinson rewarded with a two year contract.
Smith, who spent much of last season on the sidelines with a back injury, is now full fit and raring to get into pre-season training with Workington Town.
The loose forward, who turns 31 next month, was injured in the 23-20 defeat to Hunslet back in June and has not played since and is keen to be back in action.
“I enjoy playing for Town. Even before I played for them I was a big Workington fan, I used to go to the away matches from when I was a kid,” said Smith.
“If I was going to play anywhere it would have to be at Workington.”
Smith is hoping that the club will bring in some classy players to replace some of the big names that have left in recent weeks so that they can mount a good challenge in 2009.
“It is looking better now at Town, but we still need a few more signings to replace the players we have lost,” he added.
“But I believe we are going the right way.”
And his coach Dave Rotheram believes that a fit Smith will be a great asset to the side.
“Brett came back into the squad in April and started really well but unfortunately he got an injury which curtailed his season,” said Rotheram.
“Hopefully, he can put that behind him and carry on and get some form back. He was scoring tries and playing well at loose forward and he deserves a better run that he got.
“With a proper pre-season under his belt and with some hard work, a fit Brett Smith is an asset to any team.”
Robinson, 29, is also dedicated to the Workington cause. Town director, Les Smallwood praised the efforts of the second rower.
He said: “He is a robust forward who doesn’t take a backward step. He is Town through and through, loves the club and this is just reward for him.”
