Workington will have its own High Street Honey in this year’s FHM magazine competition.
Emma Heron is in the running to collect £10,000 and a modelling contract if she wins the men’s magazine competition.
Emma, 21, of Seaton, was chosen out of more than 9,000 girls to appear in the magazine’s list of 100 top High Street Honeys, which was published this week.
The winner of the contest will receive a huge amount of publicity and be given a TV presenting job.
She said: “I sent in a photo but never thought I would be chosen. I was really happy to make the top 100.
“I am really pleased. I have been doing promotion modelling for two years and thought I should give it a go.”
Emma said she not only loves modelling, she has been a major fixture on Workington’s dance scene for the last year.
She was the first female DJ to score a permanent slot on the Workington club circuit. Going under the stage name of DJ Emma Baby, she could be seen every Friday night mixing music and raising eyebrows with her colourful outfits.
Although she has now given up her DJ-ing she is still a regular dancer at the town’s Vine Bar, and also a fitness instructor.
Voting will finish at midnight on November 27.
To vote for Emma text FHM 58 to 86145 or visit www.fhm.com/honeys. Texts will be charged at standard rates.
