Carlisle Utd in talks with Newcastle keeper Tim Krul

Carlisle United are talking to young Newcastle United keeper Tim Krul about a move to Brunton Park.

The 20-year-old is mulling over a one-month loan deal with the Cumbrians.

Krul moved to Premiership Newcastle in July 2005 from home town club Den Haag.

He is the stopper for the Dutch under-20 side and was part of the squad at the European under-21 championships last year.

Paperwork and clearance have still to be agreed and signed but it is hoped everything will be sorted out tomorrow morning.
