TOTAL FORWARD a catalogued entry of 173 store cattle and breeding cattle.

A smaller show forward of varying quality with best cattle in short supply. Trade strong throughout and vendors satisfied with results. More cattle for buyers requirement.

Steers sold to £820 for a Limousin from JJ & EG Hill, Wolsty. Heifers sold to £770 for a Charolais heifer from G Rudd, Brow Bottom. Bulls sold to £750 for a Limousin from JD Greenop, Bridge Bank, Wigton.

A small but decent show of breeding cattle met a spirited trade to top at £900 for a Limousin Cow and Bull Calf for Messrs CE & T Smith, Cumrew Farm.
