I'll get stuck in against Grays says Carlisle United's wounded Keogh

Wounded warrior Richard Keogh said he won’t be afraid to put his head in where it hurts against Grays today despite the memory of Tuesday’s horror challenge at Millwall.
Carlisle United centre-half Keogh was on the receiving end of a controversial aerial challenge by the Lions striker Gary Alexander which infuriated the Blues ranks.
Keogh escaped with just three stitches above his eye but feared at the time that he had sustained more serious damage.
However, the former Eire Under-21 skipper insists he won’t shy away from combat in this afternoon’s FA Cup first round replay against the Blue Square Premier strugglers (New Recreation Ground, 1pm).
“If I have to put my head in the way of something or risk getting kicked inthe head, I’m more than happy to do that,” said Keogh.
“The swelling has gone down now so I should be all right.
“The doctor told me to strap it up again, so I will do that and go for it.”
Speaking for the first time about Alexander’s challenge, which caretaker boss Greg Abbott said should have been punished with a red card, Keogh added: “I could have fractured an eye socket, a cheekbone, anything. It did go through my mind.”
