Workington Reds keeper Adam Collin will begin training with Carlisle United next week with a view to a permanent move.

The shot-stopper has been in impressive form this season and has attracted the attention of Scottish Premiership side Hibernian.

Collin, 23, started at Newcastle United as a trainee and manager Darren Edmondson believes he can make it back to the top of English football.

Edmondson said: “He has been one of our most consistent performers and I don’t want to stand in his way”.

It is unlikely that Collin will move from Borough Park during the January transfer window but if all goes well then he could team up with the Blues in the summer.
