Spooky crash? blame KITT car

SPOOKY goings-on in the south of the county.

KITT from Knight Rider

The Westmorland Gazette reports “Empty cars collide in Kendal”. The paper told the strange tale of two unoccupied cars – an Audi and a Rover – colliding in a back lane last Wednesday afternoon.

What on earth is going on down there? The story brings to mind Stephen King’s novel Christine, about a car possessed by supernatural forces, although in King’s book the car was a Plymouth Fury. Reiver’s finger of suspicion is pointed towards the Cars of the Stars Museum in Keswick, which houses KITT, the speaking, self-driving car used in the 1980s’ series Knight Rider.

Does KITT have a good alibi for last Wednesday?

He’d better start talking.
