Nearly 100 harbourside homes will become the first phase of ambitious plans to breathe new life into Workington’s port and marina.
Breathe new life into which marina??
C'mon, People need to take a 15 minute walk from Workington Town Centre to the Harbour - it's not exactly convenient like Maryport or Whitehaven.100 new homes wouldn't go amiss though, but get these pie in the sky ideas out of your heads and come down to reality and admit it - harbour tourist development won't work.Great! I wonder where are all the people going to come from to actually buy these houses? 150 at Stainburn 180 at Harrington, ones at the old hospital being bought by housing associations because they cannot fill them. a new development on the old steel works. No jobs to provide cash and a poor road infrastructure to support all the extra cars.

Have your say
where is the lovely are that is down on the harbour maybe its ok for a walk round but would you want to live down there?
