Eyesore perpetuates dump town impression for Maryport
HOW right Mrs B Prescott is about the eyesore of weed beds along the Dearham road entrance to Maryport following the months of inconvenience of United Utilities works, and perpetuating the deterrence to visitors with the impression of a dump town.

I AGREE entirely with the views of Peter McAleavey (letters, October 16), although while he singles out Jill Perry for criticism, her fault seems to be the same as the majority of the pro-wind farm lobby: that of repeating the so-called facts without challenge.
