Man charged with having extreme animal porn images

A Workington man has appeared in court to face 26 charges relating to child and animal pornography.

Samuel William Clark, 25, of Salterbeck Drive, appeared before West Cumbria magistrates.

He is accused of making more than 15,000 still or moving images of children aged between five and 16.

They range from level one, the lowest level of pornography, to the most serious rating, level five.

He is also charged with possessing two extreme pornographic images of animals.

Clark was bailed until next Wednesday when he is due to enter pleas at the court.

Under bail conditions, he must not have unsupervised contact with any child under 16.
