Cumbrian woman attacked in street

A WOMAN has been left shaken after she was grabbed by the throat and punched in the stomach.

She found two men banging loudly on a neighbour’s door and told them twice that the neighbour was away.

One of the men then attacked her, police said today. They both ran off towards the back of Main Street, Egremont, on Friday night.

The men were white, in their early twenties and both wearing jeans and hoodies with baseball caps underneath their hoods. Call police on 101.
