Work on the new multi-million-pound Construction Skills Centre at Lakes College West Cumbria could start within the next few weeks following an announcement that a contractor has been chosen to design and build the new facility.

IT IS great to start a new academic year on such a positive note. We have introduced several new courses, highlighted in Learning last month, that include an event planning course, specialist football and rugby academies, and performing arts courses, to be delivered in our brand new £1.2 million special educational needs and performing arts centre.
