Google Street View shows Cumbria in a good light
Now that Google Streetiview has gone live in Cumbria perhaps we can admit that is a rather clever thing that actually might do some good.
Carlisle City Council were among those who threw their hands up in horrow when Google Street View cameras were spotted in the county.
But now it's live can anyone see what the fuss was about?
Carlisle actually does rather well out it. The streets look empty and the sun even seems to have been out for some of the filming.
Passersby have been blurred to avoid detection but I have spotted the distinctive shape of a colleague walking to work on Dalston Road.
I'll be do some more on Google Street View in this week's Webwatch page in Thursday's News & Star so if you've spotted anything interesting let me know.

Well the BBC Philharmonic were playing 18th April & there was a roller disco on by the looks of the streetview at the Sands Centre. So not totally uncultured then ;)
