Dawes plays for GB U18

MARYPORT Amateur Rugby League junior John Dawes turned out for the Great Britain U18 Community Lions when they took on France Juniors at Copeland Stadium, Whitehaven, on Sunday.

Dawes, who has toured in Italy with the Lions, played full-back - his normal position is centre - throughout the entire game.
Though France won 19-10 Dawes put in a good performance, watched by a contingent from Maryport.
