Sedgley Park Colts 0
A semi-final away against Stoke is the prize for ending Sedgley Park's cup run for Aspatria Colts.
Yet again the Aspatria youngsters took a big name out of the Plate competition by beating Sedgley Park who had no answer to the strength and pace of the Bower Park team.
In the first five minutes Sedgley threw everything they had at Aspatria but achieved nothing for their efforts.
The Cumbrians then went on the attack and with their scrum in total control of this big Lancashire pack quickly got within striking distance of the Sedgley try line.
Kieran Ritchie was caught five metres short of the line and Sedgley gave away a penalty for not rolling away from the tackle. Dan Rayson kicked with ease to make the score 3-0 which is how it remained at the break.
In the second half it looked like it was only a matter of time before Aspatria would cross the whitewash and they did so after only five minutes, Rayson diving over. Adam Birkett added the goal points.
With Sedgley obviously out of ideas and playing lateral rugby Aspatria constantly looked threatening.
Rayson completed the scoring with his second try which was converted by Birkett.
