Cumbrian woman charged after £21,000 drugs haul

A WORKINGTON woman will appear in court next month after police seized more than £20,000-worth of cannabis.

Officers stopped a green Ford Focus on the A66 near Brough last Sunday and searched it, finding five kilograms of the class B drug, worth £21,500.

Stacey Ann Fulton, 23, of Mitchell Avenue, Northside, was later charged with possession with intent to supply and is due to appear in Carlisle Magistrates Court on November 24.

Detective Sergeant Michael Taylor said: “This is a significant seizure of a class B drug which will with have a real effect on the supply and availability of the drug on the streets of Cumbria.

“It is thanks to intelligence passed to us from an anonymous source via Crimestoppers that we were able to act quickly and take positive action.”
