Just to clear everything up for people I am a downie I lived down town for the first 9 month of my life so that's a true downie

How can a 'Downie' come from Moorclose?
When I was a lad the divide ran North to South. It used to be Brow Top to Vulcans Lane, along Harrington Road and Salterbeck Road. Anyone born West of that line was a Downie and everyone to the East an Uppie.
Or has that boundary been changed?

if ppl play f the ryt side downies wud b beta and the uppies av a million kids joinen in downies put up a fight and do great considering uppies av twice as many ppl some ppl dnt even deserve t hail the ball coz they stand bak mosta games .
