It’s Elaine Pantling, who has been described as a female Peter Kay and likened to Victoria Wood.

She arrives at Rosehill Theatre on Saturday, April 18 at 7.30pm with her one woman show – Gusset.

It promises to be a night of fun and laughter as well as drama and maybe some tears.

She portrays Pauline Potter, pictured, whose gusset is her guiding light and epicentre.

She has worked in the factory for 20 years and floats from one job to another.

Pauline feels trapped and is desperate to get out. She is learning to be a writer at night school and dreams of being famous. With her new book Gusset Path to Life she believes that anything is possible.

In 1999, at the age of 40, Elaine Pantling graduated from De Montfort University with a BA Honours in Performing Arts.

She spent the previous 20 years working as a time served cutter in the hosiery trade. On leaving university Elaine formed Laurielorry Theatre Company.

She has devised, written and performed seven professional shows. Elaine has worked with adults who have learning difficulties and she has written and directed two films, My Genes Don't Fit and I Love You More Than Cheese. Her work has been featured on BBC1 Inside Out, BBC 4 Woman's Hour, at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2001 & 2005 and at the Leicester Comedy Festival Preview Show 2002.

Tickets costing £12 and £11 are available by calling the box office on 01946 692422.
