HOW THEY MET: Through friends on a night out in Workington in the summer of 2008.
PROPOSAL: Lisa found rose petals all around the bedroom with a huge teddy bear wearing a locket saying “will you marry me?” and a ribbon attached with a ring, on Christmas Day 2009.
VENUE: Greenhill Hotel, Wigton.
THEME: Festive sparkle.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: A two-piece Lois dress with beaded bodice, fairytale layered tulle skirt and diamante veil by Joyce Young and a pearl and diamante tiara from Celebrations, Carlisle.
GROOMSMEN: Kevin Rollo and Brian Pearce were best men and ushers were the bride’s brother Chris Faulder and the groom’s son Matthew Holmes. They wore suits from Tom Little, Maryport.
Pageboys were the bride’s son Sam Williamson and the groom’s son Christopher Holmes.
BRIDESMAIDS: The bride’s best friend Suzanne Ackerlay was chief bridesmaid.
Bridesmaids were the groom’s daughter Katie Holmes, the bride’s daughter Ellie Williamson and the bride’s cousins Danielle, Beth and Megan Dixon and Hollie and Loran McKeown. They wore Sacha James dresses in Bordeaux from KoKoa Bride, Penrith.
FLOWERS: The bride carried a tied bunch of dark red roses and hypericum with leaves and the bridesmaids carried a tied sheaf with orchids and white roses, from Inspirations, Workington.
JEWELLERY: The bride wore Jon Richards matching necklace, bracelet and earrings from Debenhams and both wedding rings from J&K Harris, Carlisle.
HAIR AND BEAUTY: Hair by Lynn Foster and Jodie Downey and make-up by Lindsay and Jade from Elegant Touch, Maryport.
TRANSPORT: Limo for the men from West Coast Limos.
RECEPTION: A wedding breakfast for 62 and evening buffet and reception for 120 guests.
TABLE SETTINGS: Christmas arrangements by Inspirations and candelabra, tea lights and rose petals by the bride.
FAVOURS: Handbag and suit favours filled with Marks & Spencer chocolates and party boxes filled with gifts for the children made by the bride and groom and their friends and family.
CAKE: A multi-tiered ivory cake decorated with sugar crafted burgundy roses made by Anne Walker of Egremont.
FIRST DANCE: Don’t Wanna Miss A Thing, Aerosmith.
ENTERTAINMENT: Disco by Mick Bell, Maryport. Mickey and Minnie Mouse, provided by Glitter Cumbria, Dearham, made an appearance to give presents to the children at 8pm.
