HOW THEY MET: In The Shed in Annan.
PROPOSAL: Chris proposed in The Lanes in Carlisle.
VENUE: Comlongon Castle, Dumfries.
BRIDE’S OUTFIT: Champagne ruched fitted bodice with a sweetheart neckline, scattered beading over the bodice, fishtail skirt and crystal tiara, from Perfect Beginnings, Dumfries.
GROOMSMEN: Best man was Eddie Phelps, friend of the groom. The best man and groom wore grey and black Grey Spirit kilts from W Glensdinning & Son, Annan.
The bride was given away by her eldest son, Andrew Marshall.
BRIDESMAIDS: Karen Gordon and Nicola O’Connor were bridesmaids. They wore dark magenta shot taffeta dresses with a dipped neckline, ruching over the bodice and scattered silver beading and fluted overskirt, from Carol Roberts Couture Bridal, Carlisle.
TRANSPORT: Vintage Rolls Royce from Gretna Wedding Bureau and Kian’s Coaches for the guests.
RECEPTION: The Corner House Hotel, Annan for 66 guests during the day and 250 guests for an evening reception.
TABLE SETTINGS: Tall vases with large purple and white feathers, napkins tied with purple ribbon and a thistle placed in each one and purple crystals scattered on the tables. The top table had a starlight skirt and a flower arrangement with small square vases with smaller feathers.
All reception decor by Tantrum Events, Dumfries.
FAVOURS: Table favours for daytime guests were personalised bottles of wine for the ladies and whisky for the men, gift bags with a toy, sweets and a balloon for the children and evening favours were shopping trolley tokens from Yorhill Children’s Foundation.
CAKE: A three-tier cake of fruit, plain sponge and chocolate sponge made by Sandra Mundell.
FIRST DANCE: Amazed, Lonestar.
ENTERTAINMENT: Elvis tribute plus disco by Rosco.
HONEYMOON: Hawaiian cruise.
