‘Meet the Buyer’ event will reveal energy opportunities

THE roll-out of the £1.5bn Design Service Alliance (DSA) will begin this year and the first chance to learn about the business opportunities will be at the Energy Opportunities Supply Chain Project – Meet the Buyer at Energus on February 29.
There will be presentations from the two winning Alliance consortia – Axiom and Progressive. There will be a chance to talk with representatives of these companies throughout the day, giving Cumbrian firms a chance to find out what opportunities exist, when they will become available and what is required to become part of the supply chain.
The day will start with a presentation from Keith Case, NMP executive director for Sellafield Ltd, commercial and contract management.
The DSA is the first of five Alliance contracts which Sellafield Ltd is awarding for 15-year periods.
Keith Case will put the DSA into context of the overall strategy and explain the plans and timings for these further multi-billion pound value contracts in the years ahead.
Sellafield Ltd is actively encouraging the Alliances to engage with local companies and this Meet the Buyer will be an important opportunity to do just that.
Registration is available on a first come, first served basis, with only limited places on www.eoscp.co.uk.
The Energy Opportunities Supply Chain Project (EOSCP) is part of the Britain’s Energy Coast organisation.
