Supergrass to rock Solfest

SUPERGRASS and Chas & Dave are just some of the big names lined up to play this year’s Solfest music festival in west Cumbria.

Organisers have announced the line-up for the main stage at the event, to be held on August 22 to 24, at Tarns, near Aspatria.
Supergrass first shot to fame in 1994 and have had a string of hits, releasing seven albums, while cheeky cockneys Chas & Dave have been going since 1974.
Other highlights include Roisin Murphy, the lead singer with dance group Moloko, and Alabama 3, who recorded the theme tune to the gangster television series The Sopranos. Carlisle band Stars of Track and Field will also being sharing the stage.
Also appearing on the main stage are: The Pipettes; The Duke Spirit; Oojami; Leslie Dowdall; Misty’s Big Adventure; Global Kryner; The New York Fund; Culann’s Hounds; Bikini Beach Band; Mutenrohi; Tiny Tin Lady; The Black Velvet Band and Ella Jarman-Pinto.
Tickets for Solfest are expected to go on sale on Monday, April 7.
