FROM portraiture, through nature, to sweeping landscapes - Workington's amateur photographers can do it all.
Now, as the Workington and District Camera Club begins its new season, the club is aiming to offer choice to the photographers themselves with a mix of Zoom and live meetings.
At the end of October when it was felt safer, the club went onto hybrid meetings, where those who were vulnerable or nervous about mixing were able to stay at home and join in the meetings. All of the judges and speakers have so far been over Zoom.
The club's first meeting of the year will be held this Friday, and again, members can attend in person or by Zoom.
"It is good that those who prefer can now meet up again in Bridgefoot village hall, to discuss their cameras, photos and learn from each other," a spokeswoman said.
The first meeting will see the club's recent competition being judged.
The rest of the month is packed with a talk by John Gravett featuring photos taken during 2021 on January 14.
This will be followed on January 21 by a presentation from the Penrith and District Camera Club and, on January 28, Alison Taylor will speak on coastal photography.
During February and March, in conjunction with Copeland photographic society, the club will be displaying approximately 250 photographs of west Cumbria in the Beacon Museum,
Whitehaven.
