A West Cumbrian lifeboat crew have saved a man who had fallen into the sea.
Workington Lifeboat was called by Belfast Coastguard at 2:47am on Friday, 4 February, after reports that a man had fallen in the sea off the coast at Lowca.
The volunteer crew launched relief all-weather lifeboat 13-25 and, with colleagues from Coastguard rescue teams, began to search for the casualty.
The search was stood down at 4:30am after the man was located ashore, safe and well.
