A NUMBER of Cumbria's non-league teams are in action this weekend, here is a preview of all the games.

Trafford v Workington AFC - 

The Reds look to close the gap on Northern Premier League - West leaders Macclesfield to 9 points when they travel to Manchester to Trafford.

Danny Grainger's side playeed out a thrilling 3-3 draw with Prescot Cables last weekend but will be looking to go one better and secure all the points in this upcoming clash.

Their opponents currenltly sit 13th in the league having not won a game since November 5 when they defeated stuggling Hanley Town.

Sunderland RCA v Carlisle City

Off the back of their thumping 5-1 win against Whitley Bay, Jim Nichols' side travel to Sunderland LGV Park to take of Sunderland RCA.

City's runaway victory on the East Coast moved them into 10th place in the Northern Football League - Division 1 table with this weekend's fixture presenting an oppurtunity for the side playing at this level for the first time to climb even higher.

Sunderland RCA are a side with a point to prove after only winning one of their last five league games. A victory for the coastal club would move them level on points with the Cumbrians.

Penrith v Whitley Bay

Whitley Bay could have the pleasure of being defeated by two Cumbrian sides in consecutive weeks when they travel to Frenchfields to take on Penrith.

Darren Edmondson's side will be looking to bounce back from their 2-1 loss against Ashington last time out and emulate their Cumbrian rivals results against Whitley Bay. 

Penrith are currently 18th in the Northern Football League - Division 1 but are on a good run of form, winning three of their last five games. 

A win for Edmondson's side could potentially lift them up to 16th in the league.

Cleator Moor Celtic v Steeton 

After having their trip to Ashton postponed due to adverse weather conditions, Cleator Moor Cletic have a chance to move off the bottom of the North West Counties Football League First Division North. 

They welcome 8th placed play-off chaser Steeton to McGrath Park in what will be a tough test for Brian Dawson's side.
