DANNY Grainger praised the attitude of his Workington Reds' side after they completed a come-back 3-1 victory over Mossley.

Three second half goals, including strike from Scott Allison and late double from David Symington, confirmed a win for the Reds that keeps the pressure on Northern Premier League - West leaders Macclesfield.

Grainger's side remain nine points behind Robbie Savage's Macclesfield with a game in hand. 

After the game, Grainger heeped the praise on his side after their comeback in Greater Manchester.

He said: "They will never give up, it does not matter what happens. They have bad days but they will never give up, their attitude is absolutely different class.

The work so hard week in week out to keep pushing and trying, and they are so honest about the work that they do and they are a pleasure to coach.

"Tonight is a massive result for us and I don't think we can understimate the confidecne that that can bring to us going into this run of games."

Grainger also highlighted Scott Allison's perfromance as the midfiedler scored his 6th goal in 5 games. 

He said: "He is on a right roll at the moment and its Scotty Al for me, he has played in the centre of midfield, he has played through the middle and played on the right and left wing.

"He has played all over for me this season and he gives me absolutely everything and I cannot sing his praises high enough."

The win at Seel Park also avenged the Reds' opening day defeat against Mossley, with Grainger keen to point out how much progress his side has made in that time.

He said: "It seems a lifetime ago, I think tonight the performance tonight when you look at the performance we put on at the start of the season it is like night and day, so for me we are going in the right direction."
