A RUGBY League player is set to stand trial after pleading not guilty to ABH.
Dion Aiye, 34, of Richmond Terrace, Whitehaven, faces a charge of assaulting a person occasioning them actual bodily harm.
He pleaded not guilty to the charge on Monday at South Cumbria Magistrates’ Court in Barrow.
Mr Aiye is accused of assaulting the female in Barrow on February 28, 2021.
He is now set to appear at Preston Crown Court on April 11 for a plea and trial preparation hearing.
He was granted unconditional bail.
