CHILDREN from a Workington nursery have visited their local recycling centre to learn more about recycling and the environment.
On Thursday March,16 Learning Land’s Pre School children visited their local recycling unit at Tesco to learn about recycling and the benefits it has in the community.
They all took a short walk and recycled some items that they had collected with their parents at home and at nursery.
Nursery manager, Kiana Mccarronn said: "It is important to provide knowledge to the children about how important recycling is to help our planet.
"The children loved this experience. This was a very easy activity to plan which was fun and worthwhile for our children. Well done to all of our preschool children."
