Drivers in and around Allerdale will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

And one of them is expected to cause delays of between 10 and 30 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start this week: A66, from 9am to 11am on May 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound, Portinscale, junction to How junction, traffic signals for electrical repairs.

A66, from midday, to 3pm on May 9, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 westbound, Lorton Road Bridge to Lamplugh, traffic signals for electrical repairs.

A595, from 8am May 19 to 8pm May 21, moderate delays (10-30 minutes): A66 possible congestion due to Keswick Mountain Festival.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
