Drivers in and around Allerdale will have three National Highways road closures to watch out for this week.

But the news isn't too bad, with all of them only expected to cause slight delays, of less than 10 minutes.

The latest expected works list, with notes from National Highways, shows that three closures are due to start over the next two weeks: A66, from 7 pm August 14 to 5 am August 16, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Portinscale to Crosthwaite, traffic signals with convoy working for Road studs to be replaced.

A66, from 7 pm August 15 to 5 am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Keswick to Burns junction, Lane closures for Road studs to be replaced.

A66, from 7 pm August 16 to 5 am August 17, slight delays (under 10 minutes): A66 eastbound and westbound, Burns, junction to Threlkeld, traffic signals with convoy working for Road studs to be replaced.

National Highways is responsible for maintaining motorways and major A-roads, so closures of smaller roads will not be included in their schedule.
