Cumbria Police conducted a survey in Keswick which highlighted issues with ASB, drug use, and road safety.

The police will now work to tackle the issues within the town and the wider community.

A spokesperson said: "Allerdale Neighbourhood Policing team recently conducted a recent survey in relation to the Keswick area.

"A number of responses were received where concerns were raised over road safety, ASB, and drug use.

"Particular issues raised included reports of ASB and drug use around, the town centre, and some residential areas.

"PC MacKenzie has recently been deployed to Keswick as the designated Community Beat Officer for the area, and he will be prioritising these issues in the coming weeks.

"Concerns were also raised about road safety issues in a number of areas, including drivers ignoring One Way signs on John Street, and the condition of Cycleways on the main roads leading into town.

"Our local officers will continue to address these issues and respond to crime and disorder in your area and encourage the local community to continue to report any incidents.

"We will be conducting a further survey in 3 months time."
