Police in the Allerdale area have been conducting stop searches.
These have been taking place in the Maryport/Flimby area and a number of drugs and weapons were seized.
A spokesperson said: "A total of 33 stop searches have been conducted in Maryport /Flimby over the past months as a direct result of community concerns.
"Numerous drugs and weapons were located resulting in arrests. This is only possible with community information. report anonymously using Crime Stoppers."
