Children created poppies which were displayed in church,  held a one-minute silence with the school's head pupils at 11am, and a whole school silence in Friday’s assembly as well as children carrying out remembrance tasks in class.

The school has also been raising money for the Royal British Legion by selling poppies for the last two weeks.

Headteacher Anna Bewsher said: "It's been really, really positive to see not just the reaction from the parents but also residents from the village, who have acknowledged all of the work our staff do, our links with the church and all of the hard work we have done towards remembrance because it is such an important event"
