A WORKINGTON woman is reaching out to her brother to get in touch, after being in a ‘living hell’ for the last two weeks.
Kelly Ann Outterside has made the appeal for her brother Robert Bates, 53, to ‘let us know you're okay’, as the Workington man hasn’t been seen by family or friends for two weeks.
Robert ‘just walked out of work’ and was reported by police as being seen on the morning of January 3 at around 7.55am on Washington Street, Workington.
Kelly said Robert was found by police in a hotel at Carlisle, shortly after going missing. He told police he would be home on the Friday, but ‘hasn’t been seen since’.
Police released a second appeal on Sunday, January 14 to say they were ‘concerned for the welfare’ of Robert who was last seen at the County Hotel, Carlisle on Wednesday, January 3 at approximately 7pm.
Speaking about the last two weeks, Kelly said: “It’s been a living hell; I have got multiple sclerosis, and I am just stressed out to the max.
“There is only me and his lads really, he has got two lads.”
When asked what she would say to Robert, Kelly said: “Just let us know you're okay so we can settle. And if he doesn’t want to come home then just reach out to say he’s okay, and not to bother.
“It’s been heart breaking, we are just stressed out and have had no sleep, just waiting for a knock on the door.”
