A WEST Cumbrian forest has been closed throughout the week for safety reason as storms have battered the county.
Whinlatter Forest near Keswick has been closed since Monday.
In a statement yesterday, Forestry England said: "Following damage caused earlier this week by Storm Isha and with high winds forecast for this evening Whinlatter will remain closed tomorrow (Wed 24 Jan) to allow our team to deal with any issues and assess the trails.
"Go Ape Whinlatter, Cafe Ambio, Whinlatter Forest and Cyclewise will also remain closed, as will forest car parks.
"Thank you for your patience and for keeping safe during this stormy weather, we will continue to update our website and social media with the latest information and look forward to welcoming you back to Whinlatter soon."
