CUMBRIA Police have been tackling speeding in the Allerdale area.
Officers were in the Dovenby area tackling the issue which has raised concern amongst the public in some parts of the county.
Some drivers were driving over the limit and will be dealt with by law enforcement accordingly.
A spokesperson said: "PC 2758 and PCSO 5375 have been out in the Dovenby area today conducting speed checks.
"We are pleased to announce that the majority of drivers stuck to the 40mph speed limit, a small minority didn't and will be dealt with in due course.
"Speeding costs lives and drivers will be dealt with accordingly, this will not be accepted on the roads in Cumbria."
