Fatal crash
Police are continuing to appeal for information after a man died following a single-vehicle collision near Sellafield on Thursday, March 21.
The man, 60, of Whitehaven, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
He had been riding a Kawasaki motorcycle. The collision happened at about 5am.
Cash theft at Carlisle Cathedral
A thief has reportedly made off with cash after breaking into Carlisle Cathedral's gift shop.
The suspect is said to have infiltrated the gift shop via the cathedral's 'medieval' wooden screens, lifting money from the money box at around 9.55am on March 13.
An image appeal of the alleged suspect has been shared on the cathedral's Facebook page.
'Around 40' sports cars spotted racing on M6
Cumbria Police have seized a sports car after reports of a group of 'around 40 vehicles' were racing on the M6 near Tebay.
After responding to initial reports from National Highways at around 10am (March 16), Cumbria Police responded, pulling over one of the 'performance' cars.
The vehicle, previously subject to a Section 59 warning, was confiscated.
Police are appealing for dashcam footage.
Police investigate deer poaching
Police are appealing for information following reports of illegal deer poaching.
This has been taking place in the Broughton Moor to Flimby areas.
It was reported that at least four deer heads and skins had been dumped and the carcasses removed.
Police investigate racially aggravated offence
Police released a CCTV image as part of an investigation into a racially aggravated offence at a restaurant in Penrith.
This occurred on Saturday, February 24, at around 6pm.
