A delivery driver was apprehended for not wearing a seatbelt, tyre issues and cannabis use.

On the way to custody, another van driver was also reported for mobile phone use while driving, according to Cumbria Roads Police & Firearms Support Unit.

In a post on social media, the police highlighted they had caught 'three out of the fatal five'.

The 'fatal five' refers to the main causes of serious injuries and deaths on the region’s roads.

The causes include careless driving, drink and drug driving, not wearing a seatbelt, using a mobile phone and speeding.
