Teenagers were arrested after the annual Uppies and Downies in Workington.
Police out on patrol in Workington on Good Friday (March 29) remarked on the 'good spirits' throughout the town, which was 'overshadowed by events after the match' in the centre.
There was a large presence of youths 'acting in a disorderly and direspectful manner'.
This, police said, resulted in a 13- and 15-year-old male arrested for affray, and a 14-year-old female arrested for being drunk and disorderly, who then proceeded to kick two cops and spit in a police sergeant's face.
"This behaviour will not be tolerated by officers who do not come to work to be assaulted.
"There is no excuse for this behaviour and we will continue to take action.
"Officers will continue to patrol the town centre throughout the Easter holidays and deal with any issues that arise," a police spokesperson added.
