A garage in Millom has been named as one of the best throughout the country.

Whartons Garage, on Duke Street, finished in second place at the 2023 Shell Dealer PMTDR awards.

The 'People Make The Difference Real' awards are designed to recognise and reward Shell's retailers and dealers who have gone above and beyond for the company.

The owners said: "We’ll be very proud to put our little town on the international stage at the awards in Singapore.

"Thank you to our fantastic staff and to our wonderful customers, helping to support our local business."

The garage was commended for outstanding customer service and its high site standards.
