A VEHICLE has been seized by police following a 'hide and seek' chase from it's driver over the weekend.
Police are investigating following an incident in Seaton on Saturday, April 20 at about 9.30pm.
Officers signalled for a vehicle to stop following concerns about the manner in which it was being driven.
Police say he driver then left and made off on foot. A man presented himself to police at a station the following day and enquiries are continuing.
The vehicle was seized on Saturday as part of the enquiry.
In a post on social media, Allerdale police said: "The driver of this vehicle wanted a game of hide and seek with officers in Seaton this evening.
"He will be dealt with for offences in due course.
"However, he is now without a vehicle and will have to pay a few hundred pounds in fees to get his vehicle back. #dontplaysillygames"
