The Castle Inn Hotel, an originally traditional Lakeland abode-turned-45 bedroom hotel, has been sold off a guide price of £3.75million.

The hotel has been acquired by an undisclosed buyer in a successful deal managed by the expert hotels team at Colliers.

Not only does the Castle Inn Hotel consist of seven luxury suites amongst its 45 bedrooms, it also possesses a leisure club with a heated indoor swimming pool and a gym.

The hotel's amenities extend to several conference facilities, including Budworth Hall, capable of hosting up to 200 persons.

This hall allows for multiple facilities such as its own bar, stage and fully sprung dance floor.

Head of hotels agency at Colliers, Julian Troup, said: "This is another high profile hotel sale in the Lake District which attracted a good deal of interest from a diverse range of parties.

"The region continues to attract both overseas and domestic buyers and we’re pleased to have been able to identify the right buyers who were able to close the deal to provide them with their first hotel representation in the region.”

Sitting within seven acres of landscaped ground space, boasting a grass tennis court and putting green, the hotel welcomes business trade and leisure-centric guests.

The corporate buyer, represented by Martin Davis of Graham & Sibbald, gained ownership of the hotel that offers picturesque views of Bassenthwaite Lake within the Lake District National Park.
