CUMBRIA Police seized an electric scooter in the Copeland area.
The community of Distington has raised concerns about road safety and speeding in three areas.
Officers patrolled the area in an attempt to prevent any ongoing issues.
A spokesperson said: "PC 3157 has targeted all three hotspots this morning with the laser gun and is pleased to report all vehicles were below the limit.
"These speed checks will be conducted sporadically and at a variety of times over the coming weeks/months.
"We appreciate the volume of traffic fluctuates throughout the day and this will be considered during our operational patrol plans.
"Following this, a female appeared to be having a wheelie good time on an electric scooter. PC 3157 applied the brakes to her fun and seized the scooter under Section 165a of the Road Traffic Act as she didn't have a driving license or insurance."
