Due to overwhelming demand, an outdoor exhibition displaying photography from a Cumbrian artist will be extended.

A ‘stunning’ display of pictures taken at Forty Farms by British Life Photographer of the year winner Amy Bateman will now run until the end of June.

Amy lives on a farm in Cumbria and enjoys capturing life in the fields through her lens. Her outdoor installation opened in November 2023 at Low Sizergh Barn near Kendal.

The free photographic exhibition, in association with H&H, is installed along a two-mile farm and woodland walk.

Nina Oxley from H&H Group said: “The spectacular scenery of Low Sizergh Farm makes this a perfect walk for families and dogs.

“Those visiting not only discover a wealth of information about farming and food, but they can also buy produce from local farms at the Low Sizergh Barn Farm Shop, some of it from farms featured in the exhibition.”

There’s a countryside quiz for younger visitors, and everyone can round off their day with home-made, locally produced food and drinks at the wonderful Low Sizergh Barn Café.

Copies of Amy Bateman’s book of photographs and farming stories Forty Farms: Conversations about Change in the Landscapes of Cumbria are available at Low Sizergh Barn, together with other books and products from farms in the exhibition including:-
