A SEARCH and rescue team held a car wash that raised hundreds for their cause.
Maryport Rescue raised over £300 in their charity car wash over the May Bank Holiday Weekend.
The service is an independent lifeboat, swift water rescue, search and rescue service.
Several drivers pulled up at the centre in Maryport to have their vehicles washed with their donations going towards the work of Marport Rescue.
A spokesperson said: "Thank you to everyone who supported our Carwash today. £330 was raised which is very much appreciated.
"Next month's will be the morning only as we're being officially presented with the Kings Award for voluntary service in the afternoon."
