ONE of northern England's leading underground house DJs heads up a bank holiday show in Workington.

Rich Pinder tops the bill at Wilson Street venue Thirty Two on Sunday April 30, joined by some of the local scene's best-known names.

A highly-regarded DJ, he has quickly built up a reputation that has seen him working with a number of the UK's finest producers, and toured all over Europe.

Pinder has a string of releases on labels such as Cr2 Records, D-Vine Sounds and Simma Black, giving him the opportunity to support some of the scene's biggest DJs and work with some of the country's biggest brands, playing to venues in Greece, Germany, Amsterdam, Austria, and even making appearances in Africa.

Recently he was involved in launching brand-new tech house label Eight0Eight Records, which is going from strength to strength with releases from talented artists from all over the world, as well as a label party due to be hosted at next year's ADE Festival in the Netherlands, and an appearance in Ibiza.

With exciting gigs in the pipeline at prestigious venues such as Egg London for DJ Mag Sessions alongside heavy-hitters such as Santé, Sidney Charles and Alexis Raphael, he is very much one to watch in the near future.

He says: "I'm really looking forward to Thirty Two on Sunday - I've got loads of unreleased music to play, so expect a set packed with energy. "I'm looking forward to meeting everyone too, so see you all soon."

Appearing alongside him in Workington will be up-and-coming house producer Luke Davidson. Hailing from Gretna, he's been part of the scene in North Cumbria and Scotland since he was a teenager, and has featured at clubs across the UK, with his music being picked up by the likes of Rinse FM and BBC Introducing.

Matt Reid is another promising name on Sunday's line-up, looking forward to playing to a hometown crowd, with Lewis Wood - fresh from supporting Hott Like Detroit at the same venue last weekend - rounding out proceedings.

Music starts at 9pm, and entrance is free.
